What Every Good Marketer Should Know
A very very short post today, just a link to Seth Godin's always excellent blog. If you don't know his site, I highly recommend that you subscribe to it via email or through your favorite feed reader.
This post from a couple of months ago is an update to a list he put together three years ago, and includes quite a few tips that are very relevant to retail marketers. For example:
- Anticipated, personal and relevant advertising always does better than unsolicited junk
- Living and breathing an authentic story is the best way to survive in an conversation-rich world
- People are selfish, lazy, uninformed and impatient. Start with that and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what you find.
