Additional findings include:
- More than three-quarters of IT executives surveyed found themselves
forced into positions where they had to make decisions before all the
information they needed was available.
- More than six in 10 respondents said that BI reports ended up being simply reference documents to justify decisions that had already been made.
- Seven in 10 IT executives said they did not receive reports with predictions about potential problems or opportunities.
- Most managers (90%) hought there would be significant benefits to the business if they could embed greater intelligence into daily operational processes.
- About seven in 10 said their company would employ more efficient processes and that customer service would improve if this were accomplished.
- Nearly two-thirds thought that there would be an increase in revenues and profitability.
