The Internet Redeems Coupons
The Couponing Knowledge Site, which I think I've referred to in the past, is a great resource, despite the fact that it requires registration.
This article introduces some research results which I, for one, was not aware of until now - internet coupons have redemption rates well over 10 times that of traditional, offline coupon distribution methods. Specifically, while the major coupon distribution vehicles saw redemption rates around 1% or less, coupons delivered via the Internet averaged a robust 11% redemption rate. Higher coupon face values (over $1) tend to get even higher redemption rates (14%).
Which coupon distribution channels are on your to-do list? Are you using them (or planning to use them) to enhance your tracking results? Are they worth the trouble for the redemption rates? How about the risks of over-redemption, mis-redemption and outright fraud?
