Predictions for 2007
This comes a few months too late but as they say, better late... David Polinchock from the Brand Experience Lab posted his predictions for 2007 back in January and they're as thought-provoking as usual.
Looking at his predictions 6 months after the fact, the ones that stand out for me would be #1 (the importance of authenticity) which has certainly proved itself again and again and is also related to #8 (everyone's a critic), #3 (new technologies for communications) as the pace of new introductions has only been increasing and causing a big headache for marketers trying to keep up, and #7 (etailing the retail store) which is certainly being talked about a lot, although I think many of these discussions have yet to reach the point of implementation.
IMHO, there hasn't been too much of #4 (advertising backlash) or that much of a change in #5 and #6 (the growing importance of retail spaces and their socialization).

I can't wait to read David's recap at the end of the year and his predictions for 2008.
